What type of shoes should I bring to Europe?

I am going on a backpacking trip so space is VERY limited.
I am already bringing out pair of good quality walking sandals, and another tiny pair of sandals for showers and the beach.
It seems foolish not to bring real shoes, but I already am bringing a pair of sandals that work for walking long distances, and its summer…
Any suggestions?

    wear flats! or wear converse or tennis shoes, they’re comfortable for walking chel c
