Tulip brand fabric paint now has a line of soft paints. They are (most of them) opaque and do not stiffen the fabric when dry. They come in a little plastic container without a writing tip, and need to be used with a brush. Make sure you look for the one labeled “soft.”

This is a normal brand of fabric paint and is generally available at crafts supplies stores like Michaels, Joann’s, Hobby Lobby, etc.

there are many brands of fabric paint available, also if you are looking for a wide color variety, there is a fabric paint medium that you can add to any acrylic paint so you can paint on fabrics
