What kind of shoes should I wear for my wedding?

My wedding is to take place in a Botanical Center (indoor garden)
I have never really worn high heels. I would like something cheap, practical, and elegant. I thought barefeet seemed a little tacky, but I am open to suggestions. The colors for the wedding are black and white, and I need to find cheap, simple, practical elegant shoes for myself and my bridesmaids.

:) If I get married I would wear combat boots because it would contrast against the dress and be easy to walk in.

It really depends on what dress you’re wearing. If it will show your feet, then something strappy like sandals with heels would look nice. If it won’t, then it doesn’t really matter. You could just wear white dolly shoes. Liz C

Wear steel toed work boots so if your fiance messes up the vows you can kick him in the balls without breaking your toe. Hater

Wedge heels are great. For starters, they are easy to walk in and give you the elegant look you’re looking for. They also don’t get stuck in dirt or gravel and since you’re having a garden wedding, that is a must.

    Here are some options: Thriftmaster

Be careful with cheap when it comes to comfort!! I think comfort is most important. Maybe try wearing nice high heals for the ceremony then wear a cute pair of flats for the reception so you will be comfortable! Bailey

I wore a pair of beige flats from H & M that cost me 25$ (my dress was off white). They were closed toed. If your dress is long then no one sees your shoes anyway, so go for comfort over style! It’ll be a long day so you don’t want to have sore feet from some uncomfortable heels! Russian_blue

Since you haven’t worn heels before i recommend you getting a cheap pair to walk around in for awhile. This way you get used to being in the heels and walking around comfortably. I am opting to wear a nice dressy flip-flop type shoe with a very small heel. kissbutnevertell

Elegant and cheap kinda don’t match,, so you’re going to have to find something more simple than elegant.
If it’s outdoors, then you want something that you can walk in that won’t get rocks or dirt stuck in them, and that let your feet breathe. No one reallt sees your feet anyway ( unless your dress is not floor lenght?) so plan according to comfort over style for that. You can get wedge heals almost anywhere, that are lower than 3 inch.

You can also wear plain cheap flats ( most are on sale now) and slip an insole inside them

also, a pair of plain open toed sandals would do the trick, in gold, silver or white. They sell them at payless. Hisamazingwife

well you could find satin ballet flats but those are gonna get dirty easy and then you’ll never be able to wear them again. you could just wear $1 old navy foam flip flops in some bright crazy color, no one will see them under your dress anyway. they make these things called barefoot sandals I think, it’s like a necklace for your foot and it’s real sexy looking but basically you have bare feet. Oh that sounds like a beautiful wedding.

I am having a black and white wedding also, but outdoors.

I personally am wearing white old navy flip flops. They wont be seen under my long dress and will be comfy.

I am leaving bridesmaids shoes up to them. I said flip flops if you want, i don’t care.

Now, if you have a shorter dress, or want pictures with your shoes, you can always find nice sandals that will be comfortable, economical, and reach the desired look. I am Crystal S.
