I am not playing. The PGA Championship is being played in my city this coming up week and I know that khaki shorts and a polo shirt will be okay, clothes wise (plus it will be in the high 90s, low 100s) but what kind of shoes do I wear? Athletic tennis shoes like K-Swiss or what? Thanks!
Yeah I will more than likely be walking the entire time. I didn’t think it mattered but I was just wondering. Thanks for the quick replies.

i dont think it matters what shoes you wear if your a spectator so regular everyday shoes should be fine

Do you have seats or will you be standing? If you have seats, it doesn’t really matter all that much - you could just wear whatever looks good. If you’re standing you are going to want to wear the most comfortable shoes you own. Athletic tennis shoes would be perfect.

As an Okie I don’t need to tell you this, but bring plenty of water, sunscreen and a hat - it’s going to be HOT!

shoes with metal spikes in them.

Since you will be walking a lot, tennis, running, or cross training shoes are what you should wear. They’re designed for movement and won’t make your feet sore after the round.

You want to look nice and the khakis and the polo are fine. Tennis shoes are alright as well and they will be good to wear because you will be on you feet alot and constantly walking. I know from expirience, i went to the 2003 US Open and it was loads of walking.Tennis shoes are the perfect choice.

I’ve been to the Memorial Tournament several times. Some people wear their golf spikes for some reason (not metal like the other dunderhead suggested) but for the most part people just wore tennis shoes, including me. Pretty much any shoes you’ll be comfortable walking all day in are fine.

pretty much anything will be okay, but I would wear something comfortable like running shoes or tennis shoes like you said

well it seems like you’re not caddying or anything, so it shouldnt matter. but since you are walking in the tournament and it’s still a pretty long walk, i would put on some golf shoes. =]

Any type of athletic shoe should be fine.
