When in doubt ask the manager. Since you’re going to be on your feet for 8 hours the KSwiss are a good choice. And the soles are rubber
Any black shoes that are comforable, no open toes, because you need to have protection from dropped things like boxes and hot grease etc.
Any rubber soled shoes that are colored black are fine. It must provide protection against the grease on the floor and as well as providing protection for your entire feet. Make sure you don’t wear open-toed shoes per sanitiation reasons.

I got mine at Wal-Mart. They have great working-person’s shoes. And they’re cheap and last a long time. Nurses get their shoes there too.
If they did not specify then poo on whoever told you. If they told you to get nonslip you would want to get tredsafe shoes at walmart. It’s back with the shoes and They usually have a whole section dedicated to them with a big yellow background and yellow boxes. Also it counts with what place you are going to work at, I work for Ruby Tuesday and we can go through ( ) shoes for crews and they deduct it straight from our paycheck. And remember the ugly ones are usually the most comfortable. Good Luck
