specifically converse and authentic vans.
i dont have a properly working dryer right now.

my friend told me to put them in the oven at a low warm temperature for about 10 minutes.
but i dont want to be the stupid one and end up with no shoes.
does this work?

try to put behind your refrigerator as you can feel behind it is hot, hang it there wala lang
Stuff them with newspaper and put them in the microwave. Keep checking them every few minutes. Even if you have no access to a microwave, still stuff them with newspaper and keep changing the newspaper every couple of hours. This will absorb all the moisture and they will be dry when you need them. claitair
Did you wash them? If they are soaking wet put them in the spin cycle of the washer with the laces off. I doubt they will dry by tomorrow but your best shot is to put them near a heat source fold down the tongues. You cannot put them in the oven they will catch fire. Rubber+Oven=Bad
Using a hair dryer on warm will help a bit. Rubber+Dryer=Bad too.
Even with a ceramic heater on them it will take at least 24 hours for them to dry. me
out in the snow Carolsue
dryer will work betotron
What I normaly do is if you have a fire I put the shoes face down on top of it that way it drys the inside, then I put the shoes on the floor in front of the fire to dry the fronts then turn them around and they dry for the back, hope this helps ..keep checking whilst doing it Emma
It is never a good idea to put clothing or shoes in the oven. Try putting them near a heat vent. joylen
The oven on a VERY low (100 degrees or so) setting might work but I don’t know if 10 minutes will be long enough - it depends upon how wet they are. Try to think of something you can put in the oven to put your shoes on other than the oven racks - even a small piece of foil would be a precautionary thing, I’d think.
I’m lucky enough to have a dryer rack for my dryer so I don’t have to listen to the thump thump of shoes being dried any more. It is really too bad your dryer isn’t working. Do you have a friendly neighbor who would be willing to offer the use of their dryer to help you out?
If you live in a rainy area like I do, it sounds as if you need to invest in some weatherproof shoes and keep the canvas ones for dry days.
I once knew a girl who needed to dry her panties and she put them in the oven. Being a nitwit, she forgot them and burned her house down - Lesson: nitwit, too high a temperature in the oven. suellenh
