What is the best way to clean climbing shoes?

I have a pair of Red Chili Sausalito climbing shoes which I normally climb indoors with. Recently I used them outside and they have become quite dirty. The main problem now is that some of the black colour of the sole has transferred onto the red part of the shoe and won’t come off. What is the best way to clean them without damaging the shoe? Hahaha yeah, does it look like your feet have horribly mutilated when you take them off, as the red dye transfers to your feet due to sweat? I know that one..
Why bother cleaning them? they’ll just get dirty again and you’re a freaking climber for goodness sake, who cares as long as they climb!
but if you must be concerned with their appearance, i doubt you could harm your shoes, they’re just leather and rubber.. use warm water and soap to clean the material, or even bung them in teh washing machine - this will cause them to shrink slightly but they’ll expand again when you wear them.
well.. first of all, THEYRE CLIMBING SHOES.. ! Aren’t they supposed to look, ahh.. “tough” or at least reflect the awesome climbs you’ve done in them, covered with chalk dust, scrapes, drops of blood from your fingers (not knees).
But ok, you want them to look pretty.. I’d try a stiff brush. Leave it at that.
