I have a pair of one year old $100+ White New Balance walking shoes that have become dirty from walking and my pant leg rubbing on the sides. The shoes are still in very good shape. Soapy water only cleans so much.

Before I wash tennis shoes in the washer, I spray a bunch of Shout all over the shoe. I then run hot water in the washer and add some detergent and a quite a bit of bleach. I then throw my shoes in there and let them soak for about 30 mins. and then start the washer back. They always come out very nice and white. Tucks Mom
