Nothing from walmart I will tell you that. I like Nike’s they wear well and have sufficient tread and look nice. Depends on your style tho. JenB

I really like Keds. They come in an abundance of styles and colors. They’re genereally pretty comfortable (some of the flats might scrape at your heel though) and they don’t wear out quicky. Just check out the website. Melanie

too the person bellow me those nurse looking vans are not skate shoes in fact they are a disgrace to all skate shoes unless you are talking about the old skoolz then they are the classic less chunky looking skate shoes the ones with laces but those ones without laces suck

Well, I’m a skateboarder, so I like brands like Vans, Etnies, and (like you) Converse! They are brands with variety, like Vans have skate shoes and those nurse-looking shoes (which are also skate shoes =P). I also see a lot of color with Vans, so a lot of different people like them.

They are in the athletic/skate sections online and at stores, like journeys/journeys.com and vans.com.
My friends also skate and they use the slip-ons, and they don’t tear or mess up like non-skate shoes do.

I’ve been working in a major shoe store for years so here are some tips (not necessarily my opinion, but what I’ve been taught to inform my customers)
-Nike’s are okay shoes. They fall apart easily and usually run about 1/2 size too small. (I don’t agree with the falling apart easily. I’ve had a pair of Nike’s for 5 years and they’re still good.) However, they usually really do run a little small.
-Adidas are good shoes. They usually have good arch support. The soles usually turn yellow-ish after a while, so invest in some good cleaner.
-Ryka is the best brand, according to me. I recommend them all the time and are one of our best sellers. They have great arch support and have some cute styles. They really help correct how you’re suppose to be standing and carrying your weight. hellofromwyo
