to me my favorite kind of shoes are crosstreckers. not alot of people know about them so they can be cheap but very stilish. great for any job.
I am flat footed, over weight, hard to fine good shoes fell in love with DANSKO shoes, i swear by them now, was told that a lot of doctor and nurses wear them, all day long and my feet love me for them…
Wear kitten heel shoes. They are very cute and have like a 1/2 inch heel and look just as professional as 3 inch heels

I believe that the insole has more to do with the most comfortable shoes than anything else. If you go to someone that can “adjust” your foot and make a custom orthotic insole your feet and back will be totally more comfortable wearing any type of shoe. I don’t know where your discomfort or why but there are some good chiropractors out there (be careful though as there are some that will give you a bad experience)
I was thankful to find a very well known doctor and extremities specialist that helped me with my orthodics. He travels internationally and may know of someone in your area in which is qualified to help you. Also many people (including Doctors) have travelled to see him, the business contact information is at the top of his site - read through it and see if it could be relevant for you being really comfortable in your shoes.
