What kind of shoes should I buy for work?

What is the name of the product that you put on the bottom of shoes to keep them from clicking?

I heard there is a product you can get to put on the heel of a shoe to keep it from making that awful noise when you walk. What is it, and where would I get it?
And please, real answers here. Not answers like “just use gum”

See, I work in a Plumbing Supply store, and there is only one other girl that works here. When she wears her loud click-y shoes, the guys make comments about how annoying it is. I don’t think they think its “sophisticated”
