I just went en pointe, and got my shoes yesterday. I have just been walking around and going on pointe and stuff, then I had a private lesson, where my teacher loosened the shoe a bit, by like breaking the sole so it would fit my arch. So we did spend some time breaking them in. But whenever I go on pointe, it really hurts my toenails, is this normal for your first time? Any advice appreciated!

How should your running shoes fit for track runners?

My 13 year old daughter started running track this season and complained about ankle pains. I read somewhere that it’s important to have good running shoes. And make sure they are laced up snug.
My daughter is one to slip on and off her running shoes while they’re laced up. Should I be concerned that she does that and should I reinforce the importance of lacing and unlacing when putting on and taking off her shoes? She’s got both running shoes and spikes.

I am getting my feet fit for pointe shoes over winter break, but I still want to know a few shoes that would be best for beginners. I understand that every foot is different and some brands may be better or worse, but I still want to know. Thank you!

I usually buy regular width shoes, but I found a very nice pair of shoes, but the only potential problem is they are a narrow width. Can I wear them comfortably anyway or not?
they are flats
I’m buying them on line so I have no idea how they will fit.

I just bought a new pair of shoes. They fit me, but they need to be stretched a bit. I don’t have any shoe trees or shoe stretchers. Any ideas?

I already bought three pairs this year, I just started and its really frusterating to not be able to dance because of bad shoes. The first ones I got were gamba’s, and they were too big. Then I got glissers (capezios) and they were too small. I thought I got the perfect ones, but apparently there too big on one of my feet (ones bigger then the other), and my foots too wide for the top of the shoe. I need someone who has done this before to help, I’m so lost. How can you tell what fits, because apparently I can’t.

I’m looking for something that will fit two rollerblades (or shoes when I reach my destination). Something that won’t sway each direction and looks compact and trendy too.

Any references / websites / brands I should look into?

I have wide feet and normally i buy a shoe that is longer, but it seems too big and my feet begin pushing through the sides of it. I am looking for a pair of snazzy looking shoes that will fit the proper way.

My boyfriend’s feet are 2 different sizes. They are at least 1.5-2 sizes difference. Until now he has fit his shoes to the size of his larger foot and suffered with the other being much too big. He suffers from severe pain in his ankle and I think it is directly related to wearing the wrong size shoe. I think his work boots at least need to fit him correctly as he’s on his feet all day at work. Anybody have any great advice on how he can get shoes that fit him properly (short of buying 2 pairs of shoes).
