Hi, I am supposed to be wearing a combination Motion Control and Motion Stability shoe as often as possible. I just got a new job and wore my comfortable wide based dress shoes that are more sturdy and corrective than a traditional shoe, but still aren’t motion control and/or motion stability and my feet and ankles are so sore tonight. Does anyone know of a brand that carries a variety of women’s dress shoes that have either Motion Control or Motion Stability or both in them and also will allow the use of orthotics? Thanks.

I have these adorable shoes that I got from Pacsun. They fit well and everything but they rub against the backs of my ankles causing them to bleed sometimes. I wear small socks with them, the ones that are made out of the same stuff as panty hoes but they don’t help. What can I do to stop it?

I bought shoes yesterday. Walked 2 miles today in the shoes. Now my ankles are bloody and sore with blisters. Is the store required to give me my money back seeing as how they are already worn?
Actually they were athletic shoes, they just rubbed against my heel. Which is very uncomfortable.

What shoes are best for controlling supination in walkers or runners?

I have been a strong supinator my whole life - I have years of shoes worn on the outside to attest to that. I’m getting into walking as a fitness regimen. I want to move up to powerwalking, but when I go faster, the outside of my ankles hurt terribly. I’m certain it’s due to the heavy supination. I’d like to buy some shoes or shoe inserts that will correct for this. I’ve tried to retrain myself into normal walking, but it doesn’t help.

Whenever I wear flats or tennis shoes, I get scraped and sore on the back of my ankle from the back of the shoe rubbing. This is annoying cuz it takes forever to heal and it really hurts. Does anyone else have this problem or am I just buying the wrong shoe size?
