both converse and vans are great! i love them both (i don’t own either though) it depends a lot of which crowd you hang with more.
JORDANS AND ECKORED JUST MY OPINION
if you have a versitile style then buy the convers. you can mix preppy and rocker. i wore a cute red dress with black leggings one day with converse. and the next day i wore a jeanskirt, coach flats, and low-cut cami. mix up your style and make people expect the unexpected.
I like Converse. and I am far from emo!!!
vans are more expensive than converse but way more comfortable and last longer. But they are two very different types of shoes i would reccomend getting a pair of each if you can! Another good brand of shoe I would reccomend is Echo unlimited.
At the converse website you can custamize your shoes and even get your name on the them you should check it out.

sperrys, very useful. they go with everything

jsut dont get them wet! they stain
so get the protective spray to spray on them.
