Looking for shoes for my toddler to wear around the house?
……. asked:
I looking for shoes for my toddler to wear around the house. I don’t like him running around barefoot all day. Socks alone are to slippery and get dirty and warn out too fast. Slippers get worn out and have a hard time staying on. Looking for shoes that are comfortable and can be worn outside as well. Do you know of any shoes that would be good for him to wear? If you can provide a link it would be nice.

you really are a crazy mom! Shelli Deaks
I use Robeez in the house. They are all leather, but fit sort of like a short sock. Babies R Us carries their brand but they dont hold up as well. They have a rough suede bottom and leather tops so no sliding and skidding. I had one pair of Robeez that I gave to a friend after my daughter used them for 4 months, her daughter used them, then her niece, now another niece and they are good! Victoria M
Try Crocs. All age kids love them. Rayleah
uh…running around barefoot indoors is actively good for your toddler’s feet! Please don’t make him wear shoes all day! cathrl69
Robeez - they’re the greatest.
Also, Target sells robeez-like shoes. They’re 1/3 the price too.
They’re great because they keep their socks on, they have a better floor gripping sole, and you can buy them larger than their actual shoe size. The elastic around the tops keep them from coming off and they can grow into them. Kid’s feet grow so fast, so I found these to be an economical solution as well. rebecca d
Mine wear Nike shoes or Stride rite. They are very comfortable and do not wear out. Just make sure they have a flexible sole and he does not outgrow them. Mine will wear out a pair of Robeez in a week! hipmom2
What about
These shoes are really great for kids, they slip on and are comfortable. Prodigy556
All my kids wear Robeez. They are expensive but worth it. I tried the store brands like Targets but my little Houdinis figured out how to get them off. I also like Chuck Taylor’s. Converse All-Stars to some. Nice flat flexible sole, canvas lace-up uppers with a toe cap. I like lace ups over velcro for the same “look mom I can take it off all by myself!” issue. i got tired of looking for shoes that I just put on every five minutes and chuck taylor’s fit the bill. for babies/toddlers shoes should only be worn if absolutley need be (going out some place)
ask any Dr., they will tell you that around the house and when not needed, barefoot is best for them. *LyNz*
