How do you get the little gel things to stay put inside pointe shoes?
Hannah F asked:
I have the little gel cushions to put at the tip of my pointe shoe. They work really well but its a hassle to have to position them every time I put my shoes on. They came with little stick-on things but they’re not sticky. What do I do to make them stay?

I have never heard of a pad or cushion that stays in the shoe. You have to remove the pads and let the shoes and pads dry out after each use. I would ask your teacher if they are really supposed to stay in the shoes because I don’t think so. Maybe the sticky things are to keep them in place while you dance but aren’t very sticky so that they come out easily. nakora_free
i’m pretty sure the sticky things are to make them stick to your feet not your shoes. you are meant to take them out and reposition them each time. if you want something that can stay positioned in your shoes all the time i would suggest using lambs wool. i use it and it molds to your foot and stays in the toe of your pointe shoe. but as far as i know gel pads arent supposed to stay in position. handsomemanintights
i know what your talking about they are just little cushioning pads that you put down the bottom of the toe. you can leave them there. my shoes actually came with them already glued in so that’s what i would suggest that you do. put some super glue on and glue them in. they will be fine. its only your toe pads that you are supposed to air out. good luck. princesse_isabel
