How do you bring old tennis shoes back to life?

I’ve had my new balance walking shoes for 6 months. They are dirty on the outside, and smell pretty bad on the inside. I assume I can wash them but I don’t know how without risking tearing them apart in the washer unless that’s how you are supposed to do it. Also, I will need another pair of the inserts. Can you buy those separately somewhere?

You can wash only the insoles, but do not put them in the dryer. Pauly

You can wash them. 1st,go to either Target or Walmart and go to the department that has ironing boards, hampers, etc.and purchase a mesh laundry bag. It is used to wash delicate lingerie. Wash them in cold water on the gentle cycle adding Clorox II to the wash. Let them air dry. In the future, for the odor, you can use charcoal briquettes. Simply insert them in a pair of old socks(thick ones) and stick them in the shoes whenever you aren’t wearing them. This will absorb the foot odors. You can always purchase new inserts by going back to where you purchased your shoes or better yet you can get inserts at Walmart or Target. I hope this will be of some help to you. Debbie
