How do I repair a shoe with a hole on the sole or bottom?
2nd Commander asked:
How can I save it? Is a shoe officially over when the bottom gets a hole, even though it’s still a nice leather shoe? I can always buy another one for 70 bucks, the same pair. I also see shoe repair places. i’ve never checked them out. i don’t know how much they will charge for sole repair. or if it’s even worth it. what should i do?

Take them to a shoe repair shop. They exist - I have one here with a population of 60,000.
I’ve been charges as little as $30 for two new soles.

You can probably get them repaired for less than $70. My mom goes to shoe repair places all the time for her favorite shoes. They’ll put new soles on both your shoes for you, and you’ll get hundreds more miles out of them! I can almost guarantee it;ll be cheaper than getting new shoes. You should give a place a call and ask for their prices on getting a pair of shoes re-soled. cherrycokegirl21
When mine develop problems I get them fixed..
At the repair shop I go to.. new soles and heel pads on a pair of heels cost 30.00….. I pay 180.00-200.00/ per pair new
When I get them back they look like new… Sophie B
If the actual shoe is still in good condition I would take it to a shoe repair shop and get the sole fixed. I doubt it would cost anymore than $20 because all they would have to do is glue another sole onto the heel. I would say its worth. ♥Shananigan♥
Duct Tape works good. The Good ‘ol Redneck repair kit! Brad M
Take a piece of cardboard, put in inside the shoe. That’s what hobos/bums (aka HOMELESS) used to do. AmericanPatriot
You should check your shoe repair places and they might be able to help you to keep from having to buy another pair. So check them out first and then if you have to buy a new pair. I just had to throw out an old pair and buy a new pair but they were tennisshoes. So check the repair shops first. Good Luck. oldestme
