I have a clay-court tournament coming up, and I have not played on the surface in a while. I am wondering if it is worth buying shoes designed specifically for clay surfaces - Or will my hard shoes do the same job?

I bought these pair of shoes that a I thought looked nice, but when I got them it didn’t seem as nice as online. Anyway I want to know how to return them back. They are still in brand new condition, I didn’t wear them outside the house or anything.

So far the Nike Air Max Court Ballistec 1.2 shoes are the ones I’m leaning towards. I’m trying to find a decent tennis shoe that is durable/lightweight and no more than $80. I just started playing tennis again so I’m not really sure which shoes are good.

What’s the difference between men and women’s tennis shoes?

♫♪♥ɛrȉn♥♪♫ asked:

I always have trouble with my feet being wide and fitting into shoes, and tennis shoes are no exception. Almost all of the women’s shoes I try feel too tight to the point my feet feel numb. So I’m wondering, would Men’s shoes work better for my wide feet? Are men’s shoes essentially like women’s shoes, except bigger and wider? And if I wear size 9 shoes, what would that translate into men’s sizes?

I’m looking for a pair of tennis shoes since I’ve been playing regularly. Also, how do tennis shoes differ from other shoes? I’d like a pair that are relatively inexpensive.
Thanks.

Tennis shoes and running shoes don’t really look different from each other. Do I need to have a pair of running shoes AND a pair of tennis shoes to be able to be on my school’s varsity tennis team? I know for lacrosse, I needed a pair of running shoes to jog and cleats for actual games and practices. Does that go same for tennis, too?

I’ve read about running a lot on hard pavement and how it can destroy your knees. I’m going to college and plan on playing tennis on hardcourts for several hours a day. What shoes would be best for protecting and cushioning my knees?
