we put the shoes on and now we cant put the drum back on because the shoes are out to far. there is no adjusting bar thats is used on most cars. so if someone knows how to make it where the shoes come together so we can put the drum back on, it would be great.

Josh asked:

I need to have my back brakes replaced. My friend asked me to buy the parts and he can do the labor for me. But the guy at Auto Zone asked if I needed brake pads or shoes for my 2004 pontiac sunfire. I didn’t know what to tell him. So what is the difference?

How do I get read of the squeaky sounds from my tennis shoes?

The World We Know asked:

Two days ago, we had a rainstorm in my city. I walked on wet streets and through some small puddles throughout that day. Afterwards, I discovered that one of my tennis shoes made a squeaking sound. Two days later, the shoe still makes that sound.

The sole of my shoe is rubber, and the sound seems to be coming from a rubber part that is within the larger outside rubber part (think of a small circle, representing the squeaky area, within a large oval, representing the entire sole).

Is it as simple as drying it as thoroughly as possible? I thought two days would be plenty of time to dry. Any advice?

Thanks!

I have mechanic that will changes my brake pads and shoes for me, but I wanted to purchase the parts in advance. What is a good brand to buy? Not looking for anything over priced. Just quality, reasonably priced pads and shoes for my 2000 ford taurus lx.
I am purchasing these parts online and don’t want to base the decision soley on which is the cheapest. I would rather pay a little extra and get quality parts. I don’t want to overpay for junk.

I have tried everything from shoe deodorisers to sunshine. The shoes do not feel sticky to wear but I suspect it’s the glue that is giving the awful smell. And no…I do not have any foot problems. It’s only with my Sketchers that I am having this problem.
